The cyclists and runners who use Strava’s app are kind of nuts.
In 2015, they logged 5 activities a second, covering 4.5 billion kilometres - enough distance to make it from Earth to Neptune.
We worked with Strava’s creative team, Animade and Stinkdigital to give people a way of reliving their best bits of the year, whether it were a few jogs with friends or something much more ridiculous. (It was usually something much more ridiculous).
Anyone who’d logged some activities with Strava could make their own 60 second highlight film. We created a story framework and tone that was adaptive according each person’s data.
Over 700,000 films were made in the first week, each rendered in just a few seconds thanks to Stinkdigital’s RITA platform.
