Google Maps continue to grow and evolve with the help of explorers all over the world, adding their new discoveries.

To keep building that community, we worked with Google on a short series of films. Each tells the story of different, amazing spots around the world - and the features you can use in Google Maps to add or edit details about them.

We made the films in collaboration with our friend Dave Lane, founder of The Gourmand magazine, and the ever-inventive set designs of Lightning + Kinglyface.

It was a single day shoot, with each scene created painstakingly by hand and stop-frame animated in-camera.
